From 20 Close Connections to 1,000 Followers: A LinkedIn Milestone Celebration in the World of Inventory Management!

Published by riteshkapur on

Well, well, well…look who’s finally made it to the micro leagues on LinkedIn!
That’s right, it’s TOC Flow Consulting.
After three years of posting, networking, and shamelessly begging my family to follow me, I’ve finally hit the first step of social media – 1,000 followers.

When I first started on LinkedIn, I reached out to all my closest connections, hoping to gain a few likes and maybe a share or two. And you know what? It worked! Thanks, Wifey. I am eternally grateful to all 20 of my close connections who clicked that “Follow” button.

But you know what feels even better than your wife following you? When people I don’t even know personally, or people who are just 2nd or 3rd-level connections, reach out and click that follow button. It’s like a warm hug from a stranger, except it’s on social media and there’s no physical contact involved.

Oh, and before I forget, I should probably mention what we do on LinkedIn. You see, I’m a supply chain professional, and specifically, I focus on inventory management. We help retailers get the right product at the right time in the right place. Exciting, right?

I know what you’re thinking – “Wow, this guy must be a real hoot at parties.” And you’re not wrong. I could talk about inventory management all day if you let me. But hey, someone’s gotta do it, right?

All jokes aside, I’m passionate about what I do, and I truly believe that effective supply chain management can make a huge difference in the success of a business. So if you’re in the retail industry and struggling to manage your inventory, hit me up. I’ll try my best to make inventory management sound fun (no promises though).

Anyway, back to the point – 1000 followers. At the end of the day, it’s just a number. What matters is the relationships and connections that we make on this platform.

Thank you for sticking with me through the good, the bad, and the painfully average. And to those who are just joining the party, welcome! You’re in for a wild ride full of bad puns, awkward jokes, and the occasional piece of useful information.
